Odisha Govt. to Provide Rs. 500 to Patients of Blood Disorders
The State Government of Odisha will give Rs. 500 per months to the patients who have chronic blood disorders on account of the expense on blood transfusion.
In an event chief minister of odisha while promoting blood donation made this announcement on giving the Rs. 500 to patients with blood disorders.
Coming from sources that now the state government will spend Rs. 15 Crore on annual expenditure for this move. As per stats there the odisha has 25,000 patients who are in need of periodic blood transfusion. Bringing that it also includes 5,000 patients from thalassemia, and 1,000 patients from haemophilia where the rest of them are suffering from sickle cell anaemia.
Government are distributing more than 60,000 Units of blood annually for above patients free of cost through the blood banks.
Chief Minister Patnaik Said
The chief minister also said that government will be expanding the procedure of NAT PCR blood screening in all major blood banks. Which is a latest technology to overcome the blood infections when days of infection arrives. The government spend Rs 12 Crore annually and started the advanced test in six places from June, last year. They are in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar which contains two each, Berhampur and Burla.
He also said that blood transfusion are always at risk of the infections. Thus, using of appropriate clinical blood must be improved.
CM also stated government will be opening seven more blood separation units at are Balangir, Balasore, Baripada, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Koraput and Rourkela as soon as possible. The states comprises of 14 blood separation units to make blood components like platelets, plasma and RBC.
The CM also cleared that the government to buy nine blood collection banks for major blood banks and procedure. For the patients with blood disorder there might be and chance of opening day care at Balasore, Kandhamal ad Rourkela for blood disorder patients.
The CM also admired the co operation of Satya Sai Organization, HDFC Bank, Aama Odish and organisers of Jiban Bindu and other for participating in the blood donation. Hdfc Bank collected the 10027 Units of blood from 132 location in odisha in 2016.
