In the following sambar recipe, we are going to use cooked vegetables, sambar powder and arhar dal (yellow lentils). Although the easy recipe of sambar will be prepared with lots of mix vegetables like potatoes, french beans, small brinjals, etc this is going to help to get full nutritional value.

Sambar Recipe Ingredients
- Thickish tamarind pulp: 3 Tbsp
- Red peppers: 2-3 whole dry
- Mustard seeds: 2 Tsp
- Salt: 1 Tbsp
- Yellow lentils (arhar or toover daal): 1 cup
- Sambar masala: 3 Tbsp
- Sugar: 1 Tbsp
- Mixed vegetables: 1 cup (Have Cutted)
- Curry leaves: 7-8 leaves
- Oil: 2 Tbsp
- Coriander leaves: 1 Tbsp Chopped that too for Garnishing
- Big onion: 1 cut into quarters
Procedure to Make South Indian Food Sambar Recipe
- First of all cook the daal mixed with salt and let it tender such as no grains remain in it.
- Now, Add vegetables, sugar and sambar masala to it, along with onions, and then let vegetables cooked till they get tender, later add tamarind.
- Also, now in saucepan health the oil and add mustard seeds to it.
- After they splutter. Add the curry leaves and whole red peppers, and turn them for 2-3 times, now add daal mixture.
- Let it boil and for 5 minutes simmer. And it is time to serve with the help of coriander leaves to garnish it.
